The goal of the Animal Services Division is to ensure the health and safety of the people and pets in our community by encouraging responsible pet ownership through education, legislation, and by providing incentives to sterilize pets.

Pasco Animal Services Announces new Customer Service hours.

Beginning June 15, 2009 the telephones at the Customer Service area at Animal Services will change.  The Animal Services phones will be answered from 8 o’clock a.m. through 5 o’clock p.m. Monday through Friday.  The Customer Service area will be closed on weekends and legal holidays.

Citizens calling Animal Services phones after Customer Service closes will be given instructions from an automated attendant system if they need to report an animal related emergency.  The hours of operation for the shelter and for the field staff remain unchanged at this time and are listed below.

The Shelter is open for visitors
Monday through Friday 12 noon to 6:30 p.m.
Saturday 12 noon until 4:30 p.m.
The Shelter is closed Sundays and legal holidays.

Field Services are provided Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

All other hours/days – only limited emergency services are available.
