Greenways, Trails & Blueways Master Plan Advisory Committee

 

 

Purpose

The Greenways, Trails & Blueways Master Plan Advisory Committee (GTBAC) was established by the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of reviewing and making recommendations on trail connectivity and design, development of a Greenways, Trails & Blueways Master Plan, and implementing ordinances prepared by County staff or consultants at the direction of the Board of County Commissioners.

 

Membership

The GTBAC is composed of nine (9) voting members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.  Members of the GTBAC shall represent various interests and areas of expertise that will further the planning, establishing, improving, and maintaining of greenways, trails, and blueways, including, but not limited to:

  1. Representatives of bicycling organizations or businesses.
  2. Kayak or canoe organizations or businesses.
  3. Equestrian organizations or businesses.
  4. Walking and/or hiking organizations.
  5. Ecotourism
  6. Conservation.
     

 

Terms

Membership on the GTBAC shall be for a term of three (3) years.  Members absent from three consecutive meetings shall be dropped from membership.  Vacancies are filled as they occur.

 

Meetings


The GTBAC does not conduct regularly scheduled meetings, but rather meet as deemed necessary by the Committee.
