Solid Waste Advisory Committee

 

 

Purpose

The Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) was established by the Board of County Commissioners to review from time to time all solid waste programs and projects and make recommendations to the Board as to how these programs and projects can be improved.

 

 

Membership

The SWAC is composed of ten (10) members as follows:

  1. Business person
  2. Refuse hauler
  3. Educator/Environmentalist
  4. Attorney representative
  5. Resident representative from the Shady Hills area
  6. Committee of 100 representative
  7. Four citizen consumers.

Each Commissioner appoints two members.

 

Terms

Members are appointed for a term concurrent with the term of the appointing Commissioner.

 

 

Meetings

The SWAC meets on an as needed basis.
