LEAP Into Excellence & Strategic Planning
Pasco County has embarked upon a journey toward excellence in county government. The LEAP Into Excellence Initiative (Lean, Efficient, Accountable Pasco) was created in the fall of 2007 with a few key goals: to improve customer service, increase efficiency and reduce expenditures. What began as a series of accountability meetings between County Administrator John Gallagher and front-line supervisors has blossomed into a county-wide initiative touching all departments and involving hundreds of employees working toward the same goal - excellence in government. Eventually, the LEAP Initiative led to an even more expansive effort - to develop the County's first Strategic Plan, a document that will guide the County's growth and progress over the next three years.
