A family that has no boundaries, people that have dedicated their lives to saving others even if it means one of their own. Honor Guards were created to salute, remember and thank those brave men & women. In 1995 and again in 1996 Pasco County's Honor Guard took third place in the state of Florida's Honor Guards competition. These costs include well-trained and qualified personnel, dependable modern equipment and a rapid response, regardless of the time of day or location. When you consider that each fully-equipped ambulance costs more than $350,000.00 annually, plus the cost of sufficient rescue stations located throughout the County to provide an average response time of about seven minutes-this is an expensive service.

After completing a training program explorers will be able to ride-along on the fire apparatus.
Some areas that Explorers will be trained in are:
Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
Hand tools
Fire Scene Operations
Fire Prevention
Basic Emergency Medical care / First Responder
Forestry / Brush Fire Operations
CPR Certification
Once the initial training is complete the explorers will be able to assist on emergency scenes. While explorers can't go into a burning building they will be able to assist on the scene with getting equipment, assisting with firefighter Rehab, and helping get the trucks and equipment back in service. If you are interested in becoming a member of our Explorer post please email Chief Tim Reardon
