Basic Life Insurance: Pasco County Board of County Commissioners provides basic, term life insurance coverage in the amount of $5,000.00 for all permanent, full time employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Voluntary Term Life Insurance: Voluntary, employee paid coverage is available in amounts up to $500,000.00 for all permanent, full time employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week. This is term life insurance and may be purchased in $10,000.00 increments for the employee. Employees may also purchase term life insurance for their spouse and dependent children. Spouse coverage is limited to $50,000.00 and child(ren) coverage is limited to $25,000.00. Coverage in an amount up to $100,000.00 is guaranteed issue for the employee; up to $50,000.00 spouse; up to $25,000.00 child(ren). Rates very depending on age. >p> Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance: Voluntary, employee paid coverage is available in amounts up to $100,000.00 for all permanent, full time employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week. Employees may also purchase accidental death and dismemberment insurance for their spouse in an amount up to $50,000.00 and their child(ren) in an amount up to $25,000.00. This coverage is guaranteed issue and provides coverage in the event of an accidental death or dismemberment only. Rates for accidental death and dismemberment coverage are $.03 per $1,000.00 or $3.00 per month for $100,000.00.
