Business Programs

Businesses are regulated and thus they are governed by rules and regulations of which households are generally exempted. Compliance with Federal, State, and County rules and regulations costs money; however, this is part of doing business. Business owners must also work towards the ultimate goal of environmental safety. This by no means is limited to Pasco County, but it is rather a nationwide protocol that we all must enforce. We, as a county staff, have been able to reduce this cost to business owners by providing them with proper information, tips, workshops, conducting site audits, and working in a partnership to comply with regulations and thereby saving money in the process. As a matter of fact we have some outstanding business owners in Pasco County that have received recognition awards under the Small Quantity Generator program for their achievement in environmental protection at their shops.
