About Us

The Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is a quasigovernmental entity which is responsible for transportation planning in Pasco County, including the cities. The MPO Board membership is designated by the Governor and is composed of the five County Commissioners and council members from Dade City, New Port Richey, Port Richey, and Zephyrhills. The County has an agreement with the MPO to provide staff services.

The MPO is funded primarily by two federal grants through the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The three groups involved in the planning function include elected officials of the MPO Board; the Technical Advisory Committee, comprised of staff and agencies; and the Citizens' Advisory Committee.
