This neighborhood park consists of 6.65 acres of property with a huge lake. There is small boat ramp that can be used to launch canoes and kayaks as well as small powered engine boats. There are two shelters and plenty of picnic tables and grills throughout the park. It is in the middle of the Moon Lake neighborhood yet it is so peaceful and soothing to sit out and watch the wild birds and ducks at the lake with the reflection of the sun glistening off the middle of the lake. We hope you enjoy your visit to this park.
Bring the family down for a cozy picnic or host a special birthday party outdoors. There is a large playground area for the children to play that includes a merry-go-round, slides, swings, spring toys and a large climber with two slides.
Shelters: No reservations are necessary for the shelters. They are available on a first-come first-served basis.
Lake Access: There is a beach area designated for swimming, however, there are no lifeguards on duty and you must swim at your own risk. Fishing access is allowed at the lake where posted. You can launch your canoe or kayak from the boat ramp area or to the right of the beach area. Please obey all safety signs posted at the park. For the convenience of all boaters, there are 10 paved boat trailer parking spaces to park your boat trailers.
Outdoor Activities: There is a multi-purpose court (30'x40') and a basketball hoop for the public to use. We have a bicycle rack if you care to ride your bicycle to the park. There is also a water fountain and a single-head shower, payphone and benches so you can sit back and relax.
