Hours of operation: The Community Center is closed, however, it is available by reservation only.  The park is still open to the public 7 days a week from 8:00 am-10:00 pm

This neighborhood park consists of 28 acres with a Community Center and athletic fields.  The fields consists of baseball for senior and little leagues as well as T-Ball.  There are Football/Soccer fields, a multi-use court, basketball and a sand volleyball court. 

Special events are held at this park throughout the year where bands play on the outside covered stage.  Some of the events that are held at this site is the Septemberfest and the Shady Hills Christmas Parade and the annual lighting of the Holiday Tree.

Reservations:  There is a picnic shelter that can be reserved for a picnic, birthday parties or social gatherings.  Bring the children down for a day at the park and enjoy the playground, merry-go-round and swings.  The shelter fees are $25 w/o electric or $30 w/electric for a 4-hour period. 

The Community Center can be reserved for birthday parties, meetings, or seminars for a fee of $15 to $25/hr.  Please contact the Veterans Memorial Park at (727) 861-3033 for availability and more detailed information.  You can print a copy of our reservation form online at www.pascocountyfl.net and click on Parks and Recreation then look under the tab Park Info and click on the folder Reservations for reservations and bring the form to the Veterans Memorial Park located at 14333 Hicks Rd., Hudson, with your payment.
