Friends of Animal Services
New Volunteer Applications received after November 1, 2011 will be processed for January 2012. New Volunteer Orientation Classes for 2011 are filled to capacity through the end of the year.
Existing Volunteers are required to submit a new application every January. If you are a current volunteer and wish to continue to volunteer after December 31, 2011 please submit a new application. Type the word “RENEWAL” on the form after your last name. Click on “Submit” at the end of the application to send it directly to educationoffice@pascocountyfl.net.

The following examples are investigated by Code Compliance Division and could be assigned to Volunteer Code Officers.
- Trash and Junk.
- In-operable, Unlicensed Vehicles.
- Commercial Vehicles.
- Recreational Vehicles, Boats, Trailers.
- Monitor Chronic Offenders.

| Elderly Nutrition |
Pasco County Elderly Nutrition/Meals on Wheels is always in need of volunteers. Our greatest need currently is for volunteer drivers. Volunteer drivers use their own vehicles but are reimbursed for mileage. Drivers are needed at all dining sites. The schedule for volunteer drivers depends on the dining site, but they generally start in the mid-morning and deliver for approximately an hour.
Home Delivery Driver:
- Distributes meals and materials to client’s homes
- Provides a friendly check-in to clients
- Available at any one of the congregate dining sites
There are also three other types of volunteers needed to perform various duties for our program:
Administrative:
- Answers phones and assists callers with information
- Performs mild clerical duties
- Available at all Administrative offices
- Any hours between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Kitchen Aide:
- Counts food items when delivered
- Assists with packing of home delivered meals
- Serves congregate lunch participants
- Cleans trays, utensils, and tables
- May answer phones
- Available at any of the congregate dining sites
- Hours depend on location
Outreach Aide:
- Schedules and performs outreach in targeted areas
- Prepares copies and distributes outreach materials
- Available at any of our dining sites or Administrative offices

The entire Volunteer Application should be completed.

Please note: If you are interested in becoming a volunteer Home Delivery Driver, you will have to provide your Social Security Number when you contact us. We are required to perform a Criminal Back Ground Check prior to you beginning any volunteer service. You may also bring in your completed Volunteer Registration form to the Elderly Nutrition Program at:
8600 Galen Wilson Boulevard Port Richey, FL 34668.
Once the Volunteer Registration form is approved, you will be contacted by an Elderly Nutrition Program staff member. |

If you are interested in attending a CERT Training Academy complete the short form below and return to this Pasco County Office of Emergency Management.
Priority will be given to teams who apply to train together. However individuals will be scheduled, as space is available, in the hopes that they will be able to recruit team members after they have received their initial training. Space is limited so apply now!

GENERAL INFORMATION:
- Applications are accepted Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at all Pasco County park sites, and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at all Pasco County recreation facilities.
- Applicants will be contacted if they are to be interviewed. If the applicant is not contacted for an interview for a volunteer position, a letter will be sent to him/her; however, the application will be kept on file for six months and may be used to fill another volunteer vacancy within that time period.
ALL APPLICANTS SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- State what volunteer position and park/facility you are interested in.
- A copy of the applicant's Social Security card and either Florida Driver's License or State Identification Card.
