Public Services provides effective management and coordination of the following departments: Community Services, Emergency Services, Parks and Recreation, Library Services, and Facilities Management.

For FY 07/08, the goal of Public Services Administration is to provide effective administrative oversight and guidance to the assigned departments in their various roles and operations. A primary focus will be to monitor capital improvement projects including Wesley Chapel District Park - Phase II, a new Animal Services shelter, the design and start of construction for a new 512-bed jail facility at the Land O'Lakes Detention Center, the Supervisor of Elections Service Center in Dade City and various additional or replacement Fire/Rescue stations. Funding for these facilities is derived from financing or refinancing of bond issues, impact fees that have been adopted in recent years, the Penny for Pasco sales tax program and ad valorem taxes.
