Welcome

Welcome to the Office of Tourism Development

The mission of the Office of Tourism Development is to market Pasco County as a sports and travel destination by promoting a variety of amateur and professional sports tournaments; special events; outdoor recreation; ecotourism; and historic and cultural activities. The Office is funded by a 2 percent tourist development tax that is levied on all overnight accommodations in the County, including hotels, motels, RV parks and short-term vacation rentals. The Office works in conjunction with the nine-member Tourist Development Council, an advisory group made up of industry representatives who make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners. The Office of Tourism Development  maintains a separate website, www.VisitPasco.net, which is the County's official tourism website and includes information on hotels, attractions, tours, parks and more.

In Pasco, the Office of Tourism Development also serves as the Public Communications Office for the County, handling media inquiries, press releases for many County departments and management of Pasco Television and other communications efforts. To learn more about Pasco Television, click on the Pasco Television button to the left.
