Garbage Pickup

Garbage Pickup

In Pasco County, there is an open, competitive, free market system for garbage hauling.  The County does not pick up your garbage.  Your garbage and recyclables are picked up by one of ten independent garbage haulers that you pay directly for service.  Residents need to sign up for service with one of the haulers in order to receive curbside garbage and recycling service.  If you live in a subdivision, your Homeowner's Association (HOA) or Community Developement District (CDD) may contract for your garbage/recycling services.  Please contact your HOA or CDD directly to find out the contracted hauler that services your particular subdivision.

Below is a list of companies that provide curbside garbage and dumpster service in Pasco County.  Your specific hauler will provide you with information on recycling and a schedule for pick up days.  Your recycling pick up day will not necessarily match your garbage pick up days.

The haulers are required to offer twice-a-week curbside garbage pick ups and at least twice-a-month recycling pick ups.  Dumpster pick ups are a private arrangement between you and your hauler.

For information on recycling for those with dumpster service, please visit our page on recycling.
